My speaking text
The man’s problem is that he has got a summer research position but he has heard it from his professor with delay and did not apply for dorm room. There are two solutions discussed by the students. He can either stay with his parents and drive to work or rent an apartment off campus. If I were the student, I would choose the first solution. The second solution is not applicable since although he can save some money on gas, he has to pay rent for the apartment. But the first solution is far better because although commuting to work will take some time and will make the student tired, he can make some fun especially that all his friends are at home because of the summer. Additionally, his parents will be happy to see him for a few weeks.
