The manager also suggests that they should expand their coverage of weather and local news on all new programs. It is assumed that this behaviour is feasible and will result in more viewers and revenues. However, it might be impossible to add these news to all new programs. For example, it may be unreasonable to add weather news to sporting news. And the complaints received and decrease in revenues are about the late-night programs. Maybe most audience are satisfied with other kinds of programs, so it might be unreasonable and counterproductive to expend their coverage of these news on all new programs.
In conclusion, the argument is based on some unreliable assumptions and we still need to collect more information to examine these assumptions to assess the validity of the argument.
