The table decribes about different illustration of proportion of familes living by household type in poverty in Australiain 1999. Generally, Australia has minor households in poverty cathegory, it is only 11% from whole Australian families.
The highest proportion of living in poverty was sole parents (21%) hence it indicated that divorce probably made degradation of family's economy. It also supported by the aged couple who already seatled had the lowest proportion of living in poverty (4%). It happened because as a couple they had double income which came both from husband and wife.
Another interesting point is children exsistance which affected the financial in family life. Couple with children had higher proportion (12%) than couple with no children (7%). This condition illustrated that family had additional expenses for their children that influenced families welfare as financial aspect.
In summary, the table shows different proportion of poverty in several family types in Australia in 1999. The illustration indicated that different number of family members could be related to different proportion of poverty regarding of different incomes and expenses.
