Without capital punishment (the death penalty) our lives are less secure and crimes of violence. Capital punishment is essential to control violence in society. To what extend do you agree and disagree with this opinion?
Nowadays, crime grow significantly and become the major problem of many countries. Many civilizations afraid doing their daily activities when the location far away from their houses. Although vast numbers of people believe there are many advantages of the death penalty, I would argue there are some negative effects to consider.
Firstly, for some countries, the capital punishment can reduce the number of violence. With this policy, the government could produce a safety atmosphere for the society. Moreover, the death penalty could avoid people from delinquent. The government implement this policy to stop the number of bloody activities. They believe the number of crime such as: steal, rob, vice, murder can decline dramatically. For example, Malaysia and Middle East Countries practice this rule.
On the other hand, many Non Government Organizations disagree about this way. They negotiate that capital punishment would be unfair according to Human Right Declaration. With balance communication with community, the government could stop a criminal accident. In Switzerland, the government guarantee the society to live in harmony without the invention of polices. Most of crime happen in the developing countries rather than rich countries.
In my opinion, crime of violence is not a core problem. The root of the crime is economy. For example, in Jakarta, Indonesia, many poor people make a crime because they only spend one dollar a day. It mean that developing pillar in economy is the main factor of many violence.
In conclusion, the crimes caused by different factors for each country. Capital punishment could bring positive effects or even disadvantages. It is a vital, therefore, that a government should provide good living standard both in economy and education to reduce the crimes indirectly.
