The chart below shows the different levels of post-school qualifications in Australia and the proportion of men and women who held them in 1999.
The bar chart demonstrates how the different levels of post-school qualifications of Australian people who held them compared regarding to gender in 1999.
In view of male, it had the lowest percentage in having Undergraduate Diploma, while the highest point could be seen in holding Skilled Vocational Diploma (Nearly 35% and 90%, respectively). Also, the percentage of Postgraduate Diploma was approximately over twice as high as Undergraduate Diploma. Additionally, the percentages of Bachelor's and Masters degrees accounted for 45% and 60%, respectively.
On the other hand, Skilled Vocational Diploma stood last in the percentage of women. Whereas Undergraduate Diploma had the highest rate, Bachelor's Degree ranked after it with 50%. Besides, Postgraduate Diploma and Master Degree figured with 30% and 40%, respectively.
Overall, the proportion of male who held post-school qualifications outstripped that of female in three kinds of qualifications. Also, males outnumbered females in high level of education among five categories compared in the chart.
