Given are the bar chart contrasting the volume of men and women joining in various evening courses at an adult education center as well as the pie chart depicting the proportion of participants categorized in distinct age groups in 2009.
It is perceptible from the bar chart that the figure of women attending in almost all courses was higher than that of men, except sculpture. As information supplied from the other figure, the older the students were, the more they participated.
In terms of the participants in both genders, the number of females doubled men’s in drama and language class with 20, 40 in sequence, while the opposite was true for sculpture class with 5 women only. Painting course attracted 25 men; however, that number was still lower than women, approximately 5 individuals.
According to the percentage of attendees categorized in age ranges, the over-50s accounted for by far the highest with approximately 42%. Meanwhile, the proportion of the 40 to 49-year-olds and 30-39-year-olds were 26% for the former and 16% for the latter. People in the age group of 29 to 20 and under 20s had almost the lowest participation rates in total with 16% and 5% in sequence.
