The bar chart compares the proportion of males and females in Australia in 6 age groups who took regular exercise in 2010.
Overall, it is clear that women did more exercise than men did almost 6 groups except for teenagers. In addition, the number of females mainly those who aged 45 to 54 aged engaged in physical activities compared to teenager females.
On the one hand, the percentage of men aged 15-24 taking physical activity was 52,8%- the highest proportion, and till 35 to 44, the figure fell to 39,5%, 13,3% lower than teenager rate. 43,1% of males who aged 45 to 54 did regular exercise, the figures for those who aged 55 to 64 and over 65 were 45,1% and 46,7% respectively.
On the other hand, the group did least exercise was the 65 and over age group, at 47,1%. The figures for those aged 15-24 and 25-34 were higher, at 47,7% and 48,9% respectively. 52,5% of women aged 35-44 took exercise regularly. The figures of 45-54 age group and 55-64 age group are similar, at 53,3% and 53% respectively.
