The bar chart gives information about the food loss and waste at the different stages of production in developed and developing countries. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where revelant.

The bar chart shows the percentage of losing and wasting foods in different manufacturing groups in industrialized and developing nations.

The most important losses in developed countries are in consumption and sales, which have the same features as the total food loss and waste. The significant contribution to excess food in the LEDCs is post-harvesting and harvesting.

In consumption and sales, twenty percent of food is wasted and lost more in developed countries, and the total food loss and waste than in developing countries. The amount of food loss, and waste used, and turnover in developing countries is the same, at 7%.

In contrast, the poor only waste the most food post-harvesting and harvesting, which is nearly the same at about 15%, while the wealthy nation had a moderate change in these seasons. Only twice the amount of food is wasted and lost more in the total than in developed countries
