The bar chart shows the typical weekday for students in three different countries

Provided is a bar graph describing how ordinary school day of British, German and Japanese students is organised.

What stands out from the graph is that whilst there is not a significant disparity between the amount of time spent by students in UK, Germany for relaxation, education and sleep, Japanese statistics are noticeable dissimilar : they are allocating that longest time for study, yet lagging behind others when it comes to the other two categories.

Looking at the graph in more detail, we can see that in UK student have much time for sleeping (8.5 hours), which is even longer than the time they study (8hours). German students also spend huge amounts of time on these activities, 8 hours for sleeping and a bit longer 9 hours for educational purposes. The same 7 hours is spent on leisure activities in both countries daily.

Japanese students, however, organise their day in different way and leave a mere 4 hours to relax. Time for sleeping is almost two times higher than this. Surprisingly, study takes 13hours of Japanese students and this is by far the longest amount of time spent on this purpose compared to other countries.
