The bar charts below show UK and US energy consumption in 2000 and 2006

The given bar graphs provide information about the proportion of energy usage of oil, gas, nuclear power and another renewable source in both Britain and America over a period of 6 years from 2000.

Overall, the usage of other renewable sources of energy was relatively less than other energies in both countries.

the oil consumption in the UK was just 28% but rose slightly at 30%. However, the figure grew slowly from 36% to 40% between 2000 and 2006 in the USA. In terms of coal, the percentage of consumption halved by 15% in the UK and the figure in the USA also fell to exactly a quarter from a moderate 35%.

In contrast, the amount of gas consumption increased dramatically from 20
% to a massive 38% in Britain, whereas in the USA it improved sharply from 15% to 25% respectively. At the same time, the proportion of nuclear power consumption among British people was plunged minimally but there were no changes in America. Moving to other renewable sources, in Britain there were no significant changes except in the USA from 2000 to 2006.
