The bar graph shows the percentage of elderly citizens in three countries in 1980, 2000, and 2030.
The given bar graph illustrates the proportion of senior people( 65 and over) in Canada, Germany, and the UK for the years 1980, 2000, along with a future prediction for the year 2030.
Overall, it can be seen that the population of elderly people has been increasing continuously in all three countries. Also, Germany is predicted to retain its top position in the coming years as well.
As is given in the graph, Germany led the entire chart over the given period, with 15% of seniors in 1980, and 5% more in 2000. Further, it is expected to cover one-fourth of the whole population with elderly people by the end of 2030.
On the other hand, in 1980, nearly 3% fewer seniors were reported in Canada as compared to 13% in the UK. However, over time, followed by an increasing trend, both countries leveled off at 15% in 2000. Turning to 2030, it is envisaged that the senior population in Canada will override that in the UK by nearly 3%, reaching about 22% in 2030.
