Below is a map of the city of Brandfield. City planners have decided to build a new shopping mall for the area, and two sites, S1 and S2 have been proposed.
This map illustrates the city of Brandfield and the two locations which were named S1 and S2, were suggested by the city planners to develop a new shopping centre. Overall, the first location (S1) suggested for the shopping centre is on the north closed to the housing area, whereas the other location (S2) is in the southwest of the city centre, closer to the industrial part of the town. On the west side of the town, a golf course and a park cover a large area which prevents any possible construction of a shopping centre.
The first possible site (S1) is located between the residential area and the city centre makes it easier to access. The river which runs through the middle of the town passes on the west of the site. Furthermore, it can be noticed that the railway and the main road are running close by the first purposed location.
The second location (S2), however, is located in the southwest of the city centre, adjacent to the industrial part of the town. As the first site, it can be easily accessed by railway or motorway.
