Overall, the most elder people lived in Wales while the least was in Northern Ireland. The percentage of population aged 65 and over had a constant increased in 1985 but expert said that the trend will be raised remarkably 2035.
In 1985, nearly 16% of elder people lived in Wales. Both UK and England had equally percentage of population which was 15%. However, Northern Ireland had the lowest population just about 12%.
In 2035, expert said that the percentage of elder population tend to be increased significantly. Growth in the people aged 65 and over will live at Wales, where the figures rose from 16% to 26%. Scotland will be second highest population at 25%. Another point to be considered is that Northern Ireland, UK and England will be equally increased at 22% in the percentage of elder population.
