The given chart illustrates the information about the percentage change in average houses in five cities of different countries over the period of 12 years from 1990 to 2002 which is compared with the average house prices in 1989.

According to the chart,regarding the prices of houses from 1990 to 1995, it is clearly seen that Madrid(Spain) and Frankfurt(Germany) experienced a similar change of increment. While the three former declined significantly by 5 percent in New York(USA) and about 8 percent in London(UK) and Tokyo(Japan).

As far as the next period (1996-2002) is concerned , it is immediately obvious that the percentage of Tokyo(Japan) in average house prices is decreased by 5 percent. In contract , the average house prices increased in rest of the cities. In New York(USA) , it is increased by 5 percent, Madrid(Spain) by 4 percent , Frankfurt(Germany) by 2 percent and London(UK) shows the highest of 11 percent increment.

All in all , there are difference in average house prices between the mentioned five cities. The difference may be the result of population change or the number of houses required in a city.
