The given bar graph demonstrates how number of British males and females who pursued the higher education in full time and part time in academic year 1970/71, 1980/81 and 1990/91.
Overview, it is noticeable that unlike the amount of female students and part-time male students, that of men who contributed to their further study full-time had shown a downward trend.
As shown in chart for females, notable number of women attended the university for their higher education each increased markedly each period. In 1970, number of part-time student was marked at around 720 thousands. It grew dramatically to approximately 1150 thousands in time period of 30 years. Likewise, full-time learner's number had rose from only 40 thousand to about 200,000 in 1990/91.
By contrast, further education did not tend to be attracting for males. In 1970, it showed approximately 1,000,000 people pursued their further education, while the number decreased to its lowest point in 1980/81 at a little under 900 thousands. However, for the later 10 years, it seemed to be more men doing their further education.
