The chart illustrates the comparison of the the number of males and females who received full-time or part-time education in Britain from 1970 to 1991.

Overall, it is apparent that the number of men and women in the full-time education is higher than the part-time education over the periods given.

Between 1970 and 1971, the number of men who studied full-time was 1 million, which decreased to about 830,000 in 1980/1081, and again rose to approximately 850,000. On the other hand, the number of women in full-time education increased over time, which was about 650,000 at the beginning of the period and peaked at 110,0000 at the end of the period, this number outstripped the number of males.

With regards to part-time education, the number of males increased gradually over there periods, which went up from 100,000 to 200,000. Similar trend also observed in the number of women, the number rose dramatically from about 50,000 to 200,000 between 1970 and 1991.
