The chart below shows the number of passengers arriving at a train station per hour across a day, and also the average price (in US Dollars) of their tickets.

Write a report summarising the information. Select and describe the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The table provides information regarding passenger volumes reaching a station every two hours and the average ticket price at given times.

As far as the number of passengers is concerned, it peaks the highest level three times throughout the day. The figure experiences the first peak at 8 am, surging from 480 at 6 am to 690 passengers. Then, a sharp decline can be seen at 10 am, with 340 passengers, before hitting the second spike, comprising 700 travelers at 12 am. The last peak is at 6 pm, reaching 670 before levelling off to 300 towards the midnight.

The ticket prices partially follow this trend. The 8am passenger increase is accompanied with quite high-ticket prices, at $29, followed by a sharp decrease by $4 at 10 am and a subsequent rise to $31 at midday. The most striking point is that the 6pm passenger peak is associated with low-ticket costs, at only $11, A final tailing off can be seen at 10 pm, with $18 per ticket.

In summary, there is a clear correlation between passenger volumes and ticket prices. The only exception is the evening spike accompanied with lower prices.
