The chart below shows numbers of incidents and injuries per 100 million passenger miles travelled (PMT) by transportation type in 2002.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
Write at least 150 words.

The bar chart compares the number of incidents and injuries every 100 million passenger miles traveled by five different types of transport in 2002.

It can be seen from the chart that demand-response transport witnessed the highest number of both incidents and injuries in 2002. By contrast, there were the lowest figures in incidents and injuries happened to passengers traveled on commuter rails.

According to the graph, on demand-response vehicles were 225 incidents and 173 injuries, which were both highest and three times as high as the second highest transport services – buses. Statistically, there were 76 incidents and 66 people were injured while travelling on the buses.

Moving on to rails, it can be said from the graph that rail services were safer than two other means of tranports. Although the number of incidents occurred on light rails was equal to that on buses, the injuried people were fewer than those travelled by buses, at only 39. Travelers on heavy rails experienced fewer such events than those on light rails, but commuter rails were the vehicles that saw the fewest number of incidents and injuries in 2002, at only 20 incidents and 17 injuries.
