At the beginning, in the year 1918 the people that owned accommodation was approximately 22% in contrast with the rented ones that was somehow 77%. Over the next years the households in owned accommodation increased which had a high percentage of 50% in the year 1971. On the other hand the ones in rented houses dropped slowly to also reach the same rate (50%) in 1971. However, after the year 1971 there was a noticeable difference where the percentage of the owned and rented switched in rate. In other words, from 1971 until 1981 the rate expanded by 10% (50% to 60%) in owning accommodations in contrast with the rented houses that decreased by also 10% (50% to 40%). This change that occurred had remained throughout the years until 2011 in which households owning homes had growth in rate from 60% till 79% somehow (in 2001) and dropped to approximately 65% in 2011, in opposite to the rented houses that lessened step by step from 50% till about 32% (in 2001) and raised by around 3% (35%) in 2011.
