The above bar graph gives information about the amount of both owned and rented residential places in England and Wales in the specific period of time from 1918 to 2011.
Overall, it is clear that although the demands for owned buildings increased during this time, the number of individuals who desired to own renting places declined noticeably.
In 1918, percentage of families with rented constructions were at the highest records of the whole graph with near 80. On the other hand, only 22% of humans were living in owned ones. Both 1939 and 1953 witnessed a small alteration, with a slight increase in owned records to more than 30% and a gradual decline in rented ones to almost 70%. Afterwards, the process continued where rented and owned accommodation for people reached the same proportion of 50 in 1971.
In addition, in the following years, the owned records were always higher than rented ones particularly in 2001 when owned statistic hit the peak with near 70%. Meanwhile, in the mentioned year, the amount of rented buildings were at its lowest proportion with 30%. At the end, rented and owned procedures ended up with approximately 35% and 63% respectively.
