The graph illustrates the difference of buying and consuming coffee and tea in five Australian cities in last 4 weeks, namely Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Hobart.
Overall, it is immediately obvious that individuals are more likely to go to a coffee store rather than other activities. In addition, the number of residents who bought fresh coffee is smallest in five cities.
To begin, in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Hobart, the figures of people went for coffee or tea are significantly higher than other hobbies, at 61%, 62.5%, 55.5% and 62.5% respectively. A opposite trend was witnessed in Adelaide, this number is slightly lower than the number people bought instant coffee (about 0.5%).
Moreover, in Brisbane, the proportion of residents who bought fresh coffee experienced the lowest rate at 34% and this number is slightly smaller in Adelaide with 34.5%. This figure in Melbourne is gradually higher than in Hobart at 43% and 37% respectively. The percentage of local people in Sydney bought fresh coffee is 45%, which is bigger than the rate individual bought instant coffee by 3%.
