Overall, it is clear that the number of minutes for local phone call in the UK was the most as opposed to the length for mobile. Furthermore, the length for local call initially witnessed a growth but then steadily declined over the period given while a significant rose in that of the remaining categories.
The number of minutes for local call stood at around 72 billion minutes in 1995 and the increased to its peak which was exactly 90 billion minutes in 1999 before a drop to almost 73 billion minutes in 2002.
In term of national and international as well as mobile telephone call, these figures seemed gradually rose in the length for national and international call which from around 37 billion minutes in over 60 billions in 2002, and a rapid jump in the minutes for moblie in the UK over 8 years period (from under 5 billions to around 55 billion minutes) almost 10 times of the length in 2002.
