The chart below shows the value of one country's exports in various categories during 2015 and 2016. The table shows the percentage change in each category or exports in 2016 compared with 2015.
The bar chart compares five categories of exporting earnings in one country in 2015 and 2016, and the table demonstrates changes over a one-year period for each item in percentage.
It is clear that the sales of the products increased for four out of five categories, and petroleum products contributed the biggest incomes for the country’s earnings for both 2015 and 2016. We can see that even though the incomes from textiles kept at a small number comparing to those from others, it rose by the biggest percentage.
According to the bar chart, the amount of money coming from petroleum products rose from 60 billion in 2015 to about 62 billion dollars in 2016, ranked the most popular exporting goods. Earnings from engineered goods, agricultural products and textiles showed an increasing trend too, from 58 to 60, 31 to 32, and 25 to 33 billion dollars respectively. Gems and jewellery, however, became less popular over the period from 2015 to 2016, with a fall from 43 to 41 billion dollars.
Looking at the percentage change in the table, we can see the most significant fluctuation was in the textiles industry, demonstrating an increase of 15.24% compared the sales from 2015 to 2016. The changes for turnover in the percentage of engineered goods and gems and jewellery were both over 5%, 8.5% more for the former and 5.18% less for the later. Products from petroleum and agriculture contributed more stable in incomes from overseas.
