It is noticeable that the export value in most categories witnessed an upward trend over the surveyed time. In addition, earnings gained from Petroleum Products and Engineered Goods were highest amongst other items.
Looking at the given charts for more details, there was a moderate increase in Petroleum Products' export value, from just over 60 billion to nearly 63 billion dollars - a 3% growth. A similar pattern was seen in Engineered Goods' figure, despite a faster pace, at 8.5%. In contrast, although being the least popular item exported over the period, Textiles had the highest proportion change, with 15.24%, resulting in nearly 27 million to over 30 million dollars earned from 2015 to 2016. Additionally, Agricultural Products' change went up insignificantly (only 0.81%), and its earning was about 30 million dollars throughout the given duration. The one exception to this trend was Gems and Jewellery, which experienced a 5.18% decline from around 42 million to 40 million dollars in 2016 compared with 2015.
