Overall, both IT and Service industry showed an upward trend throughout the period. IT industrial share kept ahead and grown swiftly with each passing stage. Furthermore, the occupation of Service went up sequentially in the same era. The gap between the two became great disparity in the end.
Percentage of GDP in IT industry was 6% in 1992, being higher than Service industry rate by approximately 2%. Two years later, it increased to 8%. Nevertheless, the figure illustrated almost remain steady in 1996 and then the rate of IT industry began to grow significantly which is 12% in 1998 and almost 15% in 2000.
Service industry rate was about 4% in 1992, and it uplifted to 6% in 1994, then in 1996 it had a gentle jump to around 7% and being ceaseless in next two years. Service industry was widened the gap of ratio to the IT industry in this corresponding period.in 2000, it rose to approximately 8% and being almost half of “IT” ratio.
