The pie charts illustrate the expenditure of an average household distributed to the different needs in their life in 1990 and 2010.
It is clear that amount of money spending on food and clothing had witnessed a significant decrease, whereas an opposite trend was true for the aspects of entertainment, healthcare, housing and others.
In 1990, the expenditure on food was standing at exactly 43%. After a period of one century, this figure had plummeted of 10%, at 33% in 2010. Meanwhile, the budget spending on clothing shown the similar trend and this also decreased with a same amount, went down to 14% at the same time.
On the other hand, there were a dramatically increase in the term of residential demanding over the period of one century, starting from 1910, which reached up to the percentage of 33% among the total of budget paying for a variety of purposes in their life. This similar trend was also regarded when considering about the spending on entertainment or miscellaneous; while the amount of money putting into medical caring had nearly remained unchanged at this period.
