The given pie charts illustrate the percentage of British undergraduate students who were able to speak other languages apart from English in the year 2000 and 2010.
In overall, we can see that students having Spanish as second language accounted for the largest proportion in both years.
To begin with, there were just over one third of students speaking Spanish at one particular British University, followed by 20% of ones having no other language. Besides, French speakers, along with other bilingual students, made up to 15% of total for each figure. In addition, there were only one tenth of students who were able to use two more languages beside English in 2000.
Ten years later, still only 10% of German Speckers occured in both mentioned period, while the number of trilingual ones added 5% more. Moreover, the charts also observed a small increase in the amount of students who have been able to speak Spanish and French by 5% for each one. As other figures rose, there was a considerable decrease from 20% to 10% in the proportion of British students unable to speak other language between 2000 and 2010.
