The charts below show what UK graduate and postgraduate students who did not go into full-time work did after leaving college in 2008.

The bar charts give information about the number of graduate and postgraduate students who had four choices of destination excluding full-time work in UK in 2008. Overall, it can be seen that most of both subjects chose further study and part-time job.
Regarding to graduate students, the highest number belonged to further study, which was approximately 30,000 students. Nearly twice lower than that was part-time work, 17,735 students and it was slightly higher than the quantity of unemployment students which was 16,235 students. Voluntary work experienced the lowest number because it was chosen by only 3,500 graduate students.
Postgraduate had the same trend as graduate that further study, part-time work, unemployment and voluntary work is respectively from the highest to the lowest. There saw 2,725 students joined further study whereas just over 2,500 students chose part-time job. Nearly 900 students less when compared with the above two options was 1,625 of unemployment. 345, which is the quantity of postgraduate choosing voluntary work, was the smallest number.
