The diagram describes the production process of electricity in a hydroelectric power station.
In general, the stages of how electricity is generated by the station system is illustrated in a simple and straightforward way. The power station consists of two main parts which are the dam and the generator.
The dam stands between the generator and the high-level reservoir of the river. Its use is to reduce the amount of water flowing furiously towards the generator by only allow enough water to get through with the funnel under it. This two-way operated funnel leads the water directly to the inside of the generator where it is converted into electricity by a machine called reversible turbines. After the process is completed the electricity will follow the power lines to national grid for general usage. The water that made it is now reserved in a low-level reservoir. When the night falls the water from this reservoir will be pumped back to where it originally comes from by the reversible turbines in the same exact tunnel they came in.
To summarize, the hydroelectric power station system works as a two way operated machine where they borrow water power during the day to produce electricity and pump it back to the river by night.
