The diagram below shows how salt is removed from sea water to make it drinkable.Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The flowchart illustrates the process of purifying seawater in order to make it suitable for drinking.

First of all, saltwater is taken from sea and sent to pre-treatment filter to divide big contaminations from soft water . Subsequently, purified water forced through membrane at high pressure which removes impurities and salt from water molecules. This process contains two basic parts. In one hand, sea water concentrate and filter backwash are returned to sea and on the other hand, those molecules that pass the membrane are sifted to the post treatment stage. After that, obtained water from previous phase, is treated with lime, chloride and fluoride to make it more purified and much adequate to drink. Finally, drinkable water is reserved in storage area so then, integrated into water supply system.

Overall, to supply sweet and healthy water from sea multiple processes, including filtration and adding chemical materials like fluoride, should be done.
