the diagram below shows a simple system that turns dirty water into clean water.

The rendered diagram explains a way in which water filter is desgined and the process of producing clean drinkable water.

Overall, it is simplest form of water filter which undergoes scores of steps, beggining with pouring of impure water into one tank and ending up with potable water in another tank.

First of all, impure water is poured into the cylinderlical (iron/steel/plastic) tank by removing its circuler shaped lid. Next, dirty water gets divided into three layers of sand, charcoal and gravel. The top most layer is sand and the bottom one is gravel where as, charcoal is in centre.

In the next step, using an angled steel pipe,  water gathered in bottom part of tank is sucked by pipe. Where pipe have its rear part and it goes stright up over the three layers with slight bend in between the water pipe then, it nose dives into another tank which is placed next lower to first tank. Finally, second water tank have nozzle on right side from where purified water can be taken out for drinking.
