The diagram shows the manufacturing process for making sugar from sugar cane.

The given diagram gives information on the process of converting sugar cane into sugar.

Overall, there are 7 main steps in sugar production, starting from growing sugar cane to the final product of refined sugar.

To produce sugar, sugar cane needs to be grown on the field for 12 to 18 months before it could be harvested. Farmers could either harvest sugar cane by cutting it down by hand or by running a specialized machine through the field.

Then the collected sugar cane would be crushed into juice, which will later be purified by a limestone filter. The purified juice then will be boiled in order to become a syrup-like liquid. After that, this syrup will be centrifuged in order to collect sugar crystals.

In the final stage, the crystals will be stored in a large container to dry and cool down, to finally become the sugar we know.
