The pie chart depicts the transportation mode preference among Edmonton residents for cars LRT (light rail transit) bus or taxi, while, the tabular infographic illustrates commuters' different reasons in order to use cars in urban areas.
Overall, car and LRT are gaining more prevalence among Edmonton residents. Nevertheless, cars are being used for professional prospectives and for Children's school purpose, most.
In detail, just less than half of the Edmonton residents (45%) prefer to use cars as a transportation mode. Moreover, slightly more than one-third of public(35%) prefer to commute using LRT. While buses and Taxies are not much preferable among Edmonton residents ,as only total 20% - 10% for the bus and 10% for the taxi - of Edmonton residents accept this way for transportation.
Among all reason for car use, lion's share is acquired by "commute to work" or "business" purposes. As more than half of citizen(55%) use the car in order to reach the workplace, which is followed by car use for business purpose (45%). Additionally, the car share used to take children to school is approximately the same as that in business perspectives. For shopping and leisure activities,car is the least preferable mode for Edmonton residents (15% for each).
