Given are two diagrams highlighting the machinery employed in the production of concrete from cement for putting up building.
Overall, it is clearly evident that, in order to produce cement, there are 5 steps involved. On the contrary, production of concrete entails virtually a one-step approach.
With regards to how cement is produced; firstly, clay and limestone as raw materials are made into powder through a crusher. The powder then passes through a mixer, before it moves round in a rotating heater. This stage is aided by a source of flame. Following this, the resultant product goes through a grinder, before cement is attained. In the last part, cement is then packed in various bags to be used.
Moving to the manufacture of concrete, 15% of cement, a tenth of water are added unto a quarter of sand and half of small stones (gravels). They are then collected in a concrete mixer to whirl around to make concrete.
