The two pie charts illustrate the percentage breakdown of household energy consumption and the average greenhouse gas from using this energy in six different categories in Australia.
Overall, it is clear that in Household energy usage, the energy using for heating takes the largest area while its greenhouse gas emissions stand at third. Conversely, Cooling was always the lowest energy using and also the greenhouse gas it releases.
The highest percentages of energy using are for heating and water heating, around 42% and 30% respectively. Australian use the least amount of energy for cooling, in comparison, only 2% of the total for this. With the twofold amounts of energy for cooling, making lighting's ranking stands at the fifth widely use. Two groups lay in between are refrigeration 7% and other appliances 15%.
The figure for water heating takes the similar percentages in both two charts whereas the ranking of heating can not maintain its leading position, around 15% in the second chart. The greenhouse gas is released by refrigeration consists 14% of the total, doubling the amounts it uses. The figure for lighting tends to be identical. Other appliances emit greenhouse gas more than the proportion it uses. Resemble the former group, Cooling releases the percentages slightly higher than using 1%.
