A glance at the given bar charts reveals the drifts as to electronic games in South Korea in 2006. The first graph elucidates how old Korean gamers were and their genders, while the second one gives a breakdown for which type of games they rated as their preferred games.
Overall, the maximum number of both male and female electronic gamers was from 20 to 29 years old. And role-playing games were the most popular favorite among Korean gamers.
As can be seen from the first chart, there was approximately a third of gamers at the 20-29 age group who was male and just one in ten Korean gamers in this category was female. Regarding the male gender, the second-largest number of gamers was at the age of 13-19, obtaining nearly 8% and 10% difference with the age group under 12 and above 30 respectively. As to the female category, the figure of gamers in the first position was 2% higher than the second position which went for the 13-19 age group and doubled the number of persons under 12 years old. There was merely a tiny proportion of individuals above 30 years old playing electronic games in Korean at the time given.
As shown in the second graph, the percentage of gamers choosing role-playing games to be their preferred ones accounted for one half of the total number. Action games were voted the favored games by 20% of gamers, obtaining a minor difference with strategy games. The number of gamers rating simulation games as their desirable games took up a small volume and a very tiny proportion of individuals opining that they preferred other kinds of games.
