The given table and graph present an analysis of gross domestic product and employment sectors of a developing nation. The table depicts the distribution of employment and GDP in the year 2004, whereas the graph represents the GDP trends from the year 1998 to 2007 in terms of Services, Natural resources and Industry.
From the table, it is clear that there is no relation between employment and GDP of different divisions in 2004. Firstly, the employment is highest in Natural resources with 77.4 percent, whereas the GDP was highest in Services, particularly in Trade, Restaurants and Hotels with 37.4 percent. Secondly, the Government services occupy the second highest with 8.7 percent in employment while the Natural resources acquire this position in terms of GDP with approximately half the percentage of the majority. Adding to this, the entire services section provides 15.2 percent of the total of employment percentage while the remaining industry and Others sectors share an equal percentage of around 3.7 percent. Moreover, on the basis of GDP, The industry and Government divisions display a minimal difference in percentages with 15.4 and 12.5 respectively, exceeding the percentage of transport and communication services by around 6 percent. Finally, the least contribution is made by Transport and Communication services in employment and others section in GDP.
From the graph, it is easy to derive that the GDP of industry throughout the years is indirectly proportional to the Natural resources and Services. To begin with, It is worth noting that the Industry sector has maintained a consistent growth with no fluctuations in the time span between 1998 and 2007. In contrast, the GDP of services decreased at a constant rate from 1998 to the middle of 2002 without any significant changes. However, from 2003 the acceleration of decrement increased and resulted in a straight slope travelling downwards. Additionally, in the case of Natural resources, the GDP decreased gradually without any fluctuations from 1998 to 2004. But, it increased sharply in 2005 and decreased at the same rate by the end of 2006 and continued decreasing till 2007.
