The graph and table below give information about water use worldwide and water consumption in two different countries Cambridge 6 test 1 task 1

The presented graph illustrates the global water use categorised in 3 different sectors (Agriculture, Industrial, and Domestic use) in the period between 1900 and 2000 (units are measured in KM3) while the table shows the consumption of water in Brazil and Congo in the year 2000.

Overall, the use of water increased gradually in all sectors during the given period. Meanwhile, agriculture was the sector where most of the water used. As is can be seen from the table, there is a massive difference in the consumption of water per person in Brazil which is about 36 times more than in Congo.

Speaking of water use worldwide, in 1900, agriculture was almost the only sector that consumes water, and it stayed as it is until 1930 where industry and domestic sectors begin to raise. In 1940, the use of water in agriculture was about 1000 Km3 while in industry and domestic were 100 and 200 respectively, the increase in water use stayed going up in all sectors until it reached 3000
km in agriculture and 1000 and 500 in industry and domestic sector.

Comparing the use of water per person in Brazil, which has a population of 179 million and an irrigated land of 26 Km with Congo which is home to 5.2 million inhabitants and has 100 km of irrigated land, shows an enormous difference while every Brazilian use 389 km each one in Congo uses only 8 m.

The information about the usage of water across the globe and the consumption of water in two various nations is depicted by rendered line chart and table. The data has been calibrated in km3 and m3.
To begin with, in 1990, the use of water in the Agriculture section was 500km3.  A drastic increase was seen in the usage of water in Agriculture sector from 1900 to 2000, it was increased by 2500km3. While the use of water in Industrial and Domestic sector was almost similar between 1900 to 1940. However, there was a gradual increase observed in both sectors, it accounted for around 1200km3 and 500km3 respectively, in 2000.
Moving towards, 359m3 water was consumed by 176 million Brazilian, in 2000. In the Democratic Republic Of Congo, the number of people was 5.2 million. Although having 100km3 Irritated land they used 8m3 water in 2000.
