The graph and table below show the average monthly temperatures and the average number of hours of sunshine per year in three major cities.

The line graph compares the data about average monthly temperatures in all months from January to December in three particular cities. while the table illustrates the figures regarding the total annual hours of sunshine in these places over a 12-months period. In general, New York accounts for the highest percentage of temperature in July and the number of hours of sunshine.
It could be easily observed from the line chart that, in January, Sydney is a city that contributes to the largest proportion of average temperature, with over 25%. After that, there is a dramatic drop in this city, bottom out nearly 15%. From this year onwards, the figures tend to rise to approximately to the number, equal to that of January. About London, in the first period, January-July, the rate considerably increase to 23% and noticeably decrease to just under 10% from July to December. New York reaches a peak at 30% in July and falls rapidly to 5%.
In comparison with the data of average monthly temperatures, that of total annual hours of sunshine are completely different. New York city is the highest, with 2,535 hours compared to 1,180 in London and 2,473 in Sydney.
