The line chart demonstrates the differences in the level of child-bearing in china and us.

Overall, china birth rate experienced many fluctuations including two major spikes, although this trend in us, in spite of some variations remained higher than china.

china and us birth rate trends followed a same path by 1930, then china saw its first spike at 15 in 1935. it suddenly plummeted down to 5 in 1940 and remained steady for 10 years, when we saw the second larger wave of birth in china at 20 at 1950. after that period the birth rate suddenly decreased sharply till 1955 and continue to decrease in downward trend.

On the other hand, us birth rate after 1935 developed a milder pattern than china. The data showed that after a sharp decrease in 1945 it goes up to 15 in 1950 but after that continue to decrease in a downward trend.
