The graph below gives information from a 2008 report about consumption of energy in the USA since 1980 with projections until 2030.

The provided line graph outlines data regarding six different types of energy consumption from a 2008 in the USA, measured in quadrillion units, from 1980 with the expectations of 2030.
As an overall trend, it can be evidently observed that all five types of energy trends are forecasted to rise, while only the hydropower’s indication won’t change at the end of period.
In 1980, the petrol and oil’s figure started at 35 quadrillion units and had a fluctuation until 1995. Subsequently, it increased overwhelmingly from 2000 to 2005, stood at 40 units. Followed by, it is also expected to reach an acme, below 50 units in 2030 which is the highest than others.
In addition, the figure of coal started at 20 units, while natural gas category was lower than around 3 units. Furthermore, they had similar trends in 1985, 1990, 2005 and 2010 years, approximately at 16, 19, 22 and 24 units, respectively. However, they experienced a converse trend in 2020, thereby the data of former is expected to be at around 30 units, while latter will stagnate and will be lower than 5 units. Furthermore, nuclear, solar/wind and hydropower trends started at about 3 units, also are expected to go up slightly.
