The graph below gives information about car ownership in Britain from 1971 to 2007.
The line graph illustrates information about the percentage of U.K. people possessing one, two, three or more cars and no car during the period of over three decades from 1971 to 2007.
Overall, the figures were recorded with an upward trend about the number of british household using two and three or more cars while that of those without car declined within the given period.
The percentage of U.K. people possessing one, two, three or more cars and no car started at roughly 44%, 7%, 2% and 47% respectively in 1997. There was the same significant change in the number of U.K. people using two and no car, respectively, the steady growth before soaring to a peak of roughly 25% in 2007, sharply plunging before sinking to a trough of roughly 24% in the percentage of british household without car in 2007.
In contrast, while the proportion of british household using one car almost stably remained at roughly 44% after up and down within the period given, that of those using three or more cars increased slightly and reached a peak of roughly 7% in 2007.
