The line graph compares three companies in terms of the waste they produced between 2000 and 2015.
It is clear that there were significant changes in each company’s waste output shown on the graph. While company C experienced an increase in the amount of waste if produced, the waste produced by company A and company B has declined over the 15-year period.
In 2000, company A produced 12 tonnes of waste, while company B and C produced around 8 tonnes and 4 tonnes respectively. Over the following 5 years, the waste output of company B and C rose by 2 tonnes roughly, but the figure for company A fell by around 1 tonnes.
From 2005 to 2015, company A reduced its waste output to approximately 8 tonnes, and company B also cut its waste by around 7 tonnes. By contrast, company C had seen an increase in waste production over the same 10-year period and reached approximately 10 tonnes in 2015.
