The graph below shows the consumption of fish and different kinds of meat in a European country between 1979 and 2004.Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.Write at least 150 words.

The chart compares four types of fish and meats in terms of their weekly consumption per person in a certain European nation from 1979 to 2004.
Overall, while the amount of chicken used increased, that of beef, lamb, and fish decreased over the period shown. The beef was the most favorite by 1988; however, the chicken was the most consumed in the remaining years.
Over the first 9 years, despite a wide fluctuation in weekly usage per head, beef was still main meat. It, then, dropped to number two after plummeting to approximately 100g, which was half of its 1979's level.
Sharing a quite similar starting point at approximately 150g, lamb and chicken witnessed different patterns. Rising significantly, the consumption of chicken outstripped that of beef in 1988, becoming the most popular meat afterward. Conversely, the use of lamb saw a sharp decrease to over 50g, nearly four times lower than the number of chicken.
By contrast, fish was the least common. After a slight decline, the amount of fish used per person remained stable at around 50g per week.
