The given double line chart illustrates the requirement for electricity in England in units during a common day in winter and summer season. Besides, the pie chart gives a depiction about the purpose of using electricity in a typical English home.

Overall, the English people used much more electricity in summer on par with winter and they mainly used electricity for heating purpose.

As is presented in the chart, the demand for electricity fluctuated around 35000 units in winter and 18000 units in summer. In a typical day, the amount of electricity used from 6 to 9a.m was always lesser than in other hours of the day. During the winter, electricity was mostly used from 21:00 to 23:00 at almost 50000 units and during the summer, it was from 13 to 14 o’ clock that electricity was mostly used at slightly above 20000 units.

Based on the pie chart, electricity was mainly used for heating rooms and water. Another purpose was using electricity for washing machines, ovens and kettles which accounted for approximately 18 percent. Other uses accounted for 30 percent, in which TV, lighting and radio consumed 15 percent and the rest 15 percent was consumed by vacuum cleaners, food mixers and electric tools.
