The line graph given illustrates how the number of visitors to a specific Caribbean Island fluctuated over a period of 7 years.
Overall, both the number of visitors remaining on cruise ships and that on island increased from 2010 to 2017. It is also true that there was a dramatical rise in the total number of visitors to this island.
It can be observed that in 2010, there were approximately 0.2 million of visitors choosing to stay on ships while the figure for those who staying on this island was higher, at 0.7 million. The total number of visitors in this year stood at 1 million. In 2011, the number of visitors staying on cruise ship rose to 0.5 before falling back to the same level of 2010 figure in 2012. After that, the figures constantly rose to the 2 millions of visitors in 2017 that overtook the figure for visitors staying on island.
Between 2010 and 2011, the number of visitors staying on islands remained relatively unchanged, at 0.7 million. This trend wasn’t followed in 2012 and 2013 that there was a significant rise to 1.5 million in 2013. However, this figure stayed unchanged until 2015 that Caribbean people witnessed a decrease to 1.25 in the number of visitors staying on this island. In addition, the total number of visitors traveling to this island jumped to the level of 3.5 million at the end of this period.
