The line graph gives information about the pollution levels in London over a 400-year-period starting in 1600.
It is clear that the propotion of sulphur dioxide was by far highest during research period. While all the number of sulphur dioxide and smoke varied around, this figures of sulphur dioxide experienced the most dramatic noticeable change.
In 1600, either sulphur dioxide or smoke stood at very low. There was a large increase in the number of sulphur dioxide from 1600 to 1770, at over 750 mircograms per cubic metre. Afterwards, it jumped to 825 mircograms per cubic metre in 1990. However, it dropped dramatically to near 0 in 2000.
This figure of smoke also had a considerably grow to below 500 mircograms per cubic metre in 1990. Then, it fells enormously to 0 in 2000. There was a huge change from 1990 to 2000.
