The graph below shows the proportion of four different materials that were recycled from 1982 to 2010 in a particular country

The given infographic depicts data about the percentage of four various types of recycled materials in the same country, between 1982 and 2010.

Overall, paper/cardboard item remained constantly higher, followed by glass containers item. However, while recycling paper and cardboard had a downward trend with fluctuations, glass containers showed an upward trend over the given period. Interestingly, both figures had a decrease in their usage in 1990, when the plastics figure was used at first.

Starting in 1984, aluminium cans can be described as a figure with an increasing character. The level of being recycled sharply escalated till 2002, having approximately 25 per cent, then almost doubled, reaching the level of a bit less than 50 per cent.

On the contrary, starting in 1990, the usage of plastics in recycling remained relatively unchanged. It got almost 5 per cent in the beginning and stepped by merely 5 more per cent till 2010.
