report, discussing the information shown below.
The graph shows the trends of smoking in Malaysia for both men and women in the period from 2000-2009 . As we can note from the graph in 2000, only 100 in 1000 women were active smokers while in the same year there were 600 men smokers in every 1000.
The situation with smokers between women started to change in 2001 when a slight rise happened and by 2005 we can concern that figure has risen to the total number of 300 women being active smokers in the group of 1000. After 2005, the trend of rising has constantly started to fall and finally reached the level of 200 women as active smokers in 2009.
Comparing the information from the graph we can observe that men were more regular smokers than women for the whole period of 2000-2009. In 2000 there were 600 men in every 1000 included in the smoking activity. After 2000, the graph shows a dramatic decline in the number of men who were active smokers and by 2005 the level has fallen to 400 men. Lastly, in 2009 there were only 250 men in every 1000 to be part of the smoking community.
Taking a look at both trends, it is evident that men were more active smokers than women for the whole period 2000-2009. However, the level of women becoming smokers has risen over the years while the same could not be said for the men. On the contrary, the men marked a significant drop in the rate of active smokers following the graph information.
