The graph shows the amount of money spent on books in Germany, France, Italy and Austria between 1995 and 2005.

The given line graph illustrates the expenditure on books in four selected countries from 1995 to 2005.

Overall, the money that every country spent on books increased although Germany always spent the most within the 10-year period.

Looking at the map, it is vividly shown that Germany and France spent more money than the two others. Starting at $80 millions, despite some minor fluctuations, the expense of buying books in Germany ascended consistently to reach a peak at approximately $100 millions in 2005. Meanwhile, coming after Germany in the whole time was France. The amount of money for books there witnessed a gradual rise from over $50 millions to almost $75 millions after 10 years.

Moving on to the figures for Italy and Austria, there were similar upward trends. Surprisingly, Austria experienced the most significant change in the money spending with an increase of $40 millions by the year 2005. Likewise, that figure in Italy went up slightly from $50 millions to above $60 millions in the end.
